South Africans now have a simple and easy way to get help fast, with the Namola FREE emergency app. Read these 5 steps to ensuring that you are getting the most out of your app.
One: Test the app.
Just as you would test your home alarm system to check that it works, Namola encourages you to test your app frequently. Not only will this empower you to know how the app works in an emergency, but it will also give you peace of mind that someone will call you when you need help the most. Remember you need to hold down the request assistance button. You may just be tapping the “request assistance” button to get emergency assistance, but remember you need to hold it down for 3 seconds until the button is completely red.
Two: Turn your location settings on. In an emergency, every second counts. Namola encourages their users to keep their location settings on permanently, to ensure that you do not waste time in an emergency.
Three: Add your loved ones to the Family Safety feature. The Family Safety feature allows you to permanently share your location with your nearest and dearest. We all have that time where it would be so valuable to know where your loved ones are. By them being able to share their location with you, and you with them, Family Safety gives everyone the peace-of-mind to know they are safe, and the power to have information at hand should you need to help them out.
Four: Put the Namola app on your home screen. In an emergency, there is no time to waste. Not only do we encourage you to test the app, but we also encourage you to place it on the Home screen of your smartphone so that it is top of mind and easy to access.
Five: Add your emergency information. Any extra information that can be accessed by your dedicated Operator, will save time and maybe even your life. Your data is protected by POPI and can only be accessed by the Operator when you request assistance through the app.
