Access to Private Security Services available to all South Africans during National Shutdown

Press Release -17 March 2023.

Johannesburg, South Africa - As concerns about safety continue to mount across the country during the upcoming national shutdown, Namola, the leading mobile safety app in South Africa, is urging all South Africans to take precautions and protect themselves and their loved ones during this time.

In an effort to ensure the safety of South Africans, Namola will continue to operate throughout the shutdown and do its best to provide its users with immediate access to private emergency response services for those in need.

While Namola's free plan relies solely on public service providers, its Namola Plus plan gives users access to the largest network of private emergency services in the country. Recognizing the strain that the public sector is likely to face during the upcoming week, Namola is allowing all active users access to our network of Private Security emergency responders from Monday 20th to Tuesday 21st of March 2023, regardless of which plan they are on.

"With violence and damage expected during the national shutdown, we are concerned about the safety of all South Africans," said Pete Adolphs, CEO at Namola. "We know that the public sector will be under-resourced and impacted as a result, and we want to make sure that everyone has access to the highest level of emergency services during this time."

Namola Plus provides users with access to a variety of private emergency services, including armed security response through its partnership with AURA, private ambulance services, fire emergency services, and more. By offering private security response services to all active Namola users during the national shutdown, Namola is helping to ensure that everyone has the support they need to stay safe and secure during this challenging time.

"We understand that this is a difficult time for all South Africans, and we strongly urge all South Africans to download the Namola mobile safety app to ensure they have access to this service,” said Peter, “We believe that everyone deserves to feel safe and secure, and we are committed to providing the highest level of emergency services to all of our users."

Namola will be offering all active users access to Namola Plus (N+) services for the National Shutdown from the 20th of March - the 21st of March, 2023.
